What is Trilipix used for?
Trilipix is a cholesterol-lowering medication that belongs to the fibrate class of drugs. Trilipix used to treat high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels. It is a hypolipidemic or antilipemic agent that reduces the levels of certain fats in the blood. Trilipix is prescribed to improve cholesterol levels by speeding cholesterol excretion from the body.

Before taking Trilipix
To make sure you can safely take Trilipix, tell your doctor if you have any of these other conditions:
If you have preexisting gallbladder disease
If you are breastfeeding
have previously had an allergic reaction to Trilipix or any of its components (such as atenolol, carvedilol, metoprolol, propranolol, and others.)
If you have active liver disease or have abnormally high liver enzyme levels
Underactive thyroid
Liver disease

Trilipix Side Effects:
headache
dizziness
constipation
nausea
diarrhea
upset stomach
loss of appetite
weakness
wheezing
rapid breathing
fast heart rate
joint pain
muscle spasms
back pain
swelling
upper stomach pain
elevated liver enzymes
pancreatitis
