How To Get Rid Of Sunburn

A sunburn is your skin overexposure to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation, it is the pain, redness and swelling. When ultraviolet light from the sun hits your skin it causes radiation damage. If the radiation damage is severe, then the injured cells die and your immune system kicks in to clear out the dead cells. Blisters and peeling skin are the dead cells sloughing off. Pain and redness is your immune system in high gear clearing the radiation damaged area before more harm can occur.

Sunburn Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of sunburn include:
Pinkness or redness
Swelling
Small fluid-filled blisters
Peeling skin
Chills
Fever
Nausea or vomiting

How To Get Rid Of Sunburn

What should we do if the sunburn is already occurred?
1. Rub aloe vera gel on your sunburned skin, it can be used as a safe anti-inflammation agent.

2. Apply a thin coat of vitamins C and E after a thorough cleansing and toning. A mix of vitamins C and E has shown that it can help moisturize the skin.

3. Rub an ice cube on your sunburned skin to open the pores and to reduce redness, flakiness and itching of the skin due to sunburn.

4. Spray a cotton ball with vinegar, Lightly dab of your sunburned areas with the cotton ball. 3 or 4 times one day. Vinegar has antiseptic properties and it can kill germs and relieve pain.

5. Drink lots of water, more than eight glasses of water a day.

6. Fill bath with cool water and add 2 cups baking soda, dissolve. Soak in tub for 30 minutes. Baking soda creates an alkaline environment can soothe the skin as well as an antiseptic and can help relieve itching from it.

7. Mix 2 egg whites, 1 TBS honey. Rub it on your sunburned skin. Honey is antibacterial and it can help heal wounds, the effect of mixing egg whites is a very good.

8. You can buy cortisone creams or ibuprofen from pharmacies. They may help reduce the inflammation.
