How to Get Rid of Diarrhea

What is Diarrhea?
Diarrhea is a condition that refers to passage of loose, watery stools. It may be caused by infections, medications, or damage to the digestive tract. If too little water is absorbed from the waste as it passes through the colon can lead to diarrhea. Diarrhea is very common and usually lasts two to three days and goes away on its own.

Diarrhea Signs and Symptoms
Symptoms and signs that may be present with diarrhea include:
Abdominal cramps
Abdominal pain
Bloating

Blood in your stool

Drinking too much coffee or alcohol
Food allergy
Chronic pancreatitis

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

How to Get Rid of Diarrhea
Here are some tips to get rid of diarrhea naturally and home remedies include:

1. Yogurt. A great home remedy is to eat yogurt, it is rich in probiotic agents.

2. Brown Rice. Take ½ cup of brown rice and boil it in 3 cups of water, add one banana and eat it.  Brown Rice contains B vitamins that helps in controlling the various symptoms of diarrhea.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is rich in pectin, it helps in soothing the irritated stomach.

4. Chamomile Tea. Drinking more chamomile tea that has anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties.

5. Ginger. Take a small piece of ginger and grate it, and then mix one teaspoon of honey to it and eat it. Ginger can prevent stomach spasms.

6. Bananas. It is an easily digestible fruit that helps control diarrhea.

7. Carrot Juice. Drinking fresh carrot juice 2-3 times one day. Carrot Juice can provide organism with vitamins and essential minerals.

8. Stay away from magnesium containing laxatives or antacids.

9. Avoid Dairy. Many people experience temporary Lactose Intolerance while they are having diarrhea.

10. Do not drink coffee or alcohol when diarrhea occurs.
