What is Strep Throat?
Strep throat is a bacterial throat infection that is caused by a bacterium known as Group A streptococcus. It can make your throat feel sore and scratchy. Strep throat is the most common bacterial a type of sore throat. It is a contagious disease, and it spread through coughing, sneezing and sharing of eating or drinking utensils. Strep throat should not be taken lightly. If not promptly treated, it can cause more serious illnesses. such as rheumatic fever, a disease that can harm the heart valves. It’s also possible for strep throat bacteria to spread to other tissues, causing an abscess or more-serious infection.

What causes strep throat?
Strep throat is caused by streptococcal bacteria. There are many different types of strep bacteria. It is spread by airborne droplets, most often from:
Coughing and sneezing of people who have strep throat.
Touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.

Difficulty swallowing
Headaches
Fever over 101 F (38.3 C)
Swollen lymph nodes in the neck
Sore throat
Nausea and vomiting
Stuffy nose
Other upper-respiratory symptoms
Visible redness and swelling

How to Prevent Strep Throat?
Avoid contact with someone who has a strep infection.
Cover the mouth and nose when someone sneeze or cough.
Clean your hands is the best way to prevent all kinds of infections.
If he or she does have strep throat, Don't share personal items.

Home Remedies for Sore Throat
Here are some home remedies that you can try at home next time you are infected.

Gargle with apple cider vinegar and then swallow it, the acid in it can kill the source of the infection. You should know, after each use of the apple cider vinegar, you must rinse your mouth with water, because the acid will eat away at your teeth.
